Same problem again. I am forced to close down the post function for while we are working on a better spam filter. Sorry - but we will be back again!

2  General Category / General Board / CONVERTING A PSD FILE TO A POST SCRIPT FTF FILE
 on: 02/23/09 at 15:44:49

I am looking for help!!!  I prepared a logo for a friend in Photoshop for the purpose of business cards, and have saved it as a PSD file.  Now I have been asked to supply an Illustrator File for Line Art -- Post Script FTF.  Is it possible to convert the PSD file into the Post Script FTF file of suitable quality to be blown up to appear on a 8 X 10 foot display board??  My friend would also like to have it submitted for stitchery.

I now have Illustrator CS4 and I did try converting the psd file into an eps format, but there are so many settings to specify that I was just a little stumped.   Is it possible to convert the file or will I have to recreate the entire logo in Illustrator??   If it is possible to convert, could someone provide me with step-by-step instructions??  Thanks so much!!

Linda

I'm getting a tattoo next week (if I can grow the balls by then) and I want it made into a graphic to put on my MySpace and as a background on my computer. I don't know where to ask for someone to make it so the only place that seemed fitting was here.

Here's a picture of the tattoo:

And here's the stupid screen shot of the graphic from a website (http://www.tattoofinder.com/find_tattooDB.asp) if it helps:

I responded to an ad for a Freelance Graphic Designer position and they got back to me that they were interested and wanted to know my salary requirements! But I have always worked on individual contracts and not as a temp hire so I don't know how much to ask for... I usually charge between $45 to $60 an hour depending on the job/client but this is more of a "how much per year" sort of question. The position is part-time (20-25 hours per week). Here's what this listing stated the responsibilities were:

6  General Category / Bitmap graphics and photo editing / How to know RGB values of bitmaps.

Hi,

I'm having one doubt regarding bitmaps. Is that possible to know the RGB value of any bitmap.

For eg: I'm having bitmap like this...
              . . . B
              .K. . .
              . . . C
              B . . .
Here B- blue, C- cyan K - black, . - white

For the above bitmap, can I know what is its RGB value.
Is there any tool for this or can we find programmatically.

Any help, suggestion would be great.

Thanks & Regards,
 Sharath.
